Introduction to the RNC '08 Report project How and why the project came into existence...
The RNC '08 Report is a citizen's archive of media reports, government documents, and other resources relating to the 2008 Republican National Convention, held in St. Paul, MN. Over a year after the 2008 Republican National Convention, the RNC '08 Report continues to produce original research, and compile and archive material relating to the 2008 RNC which is used widely by legal defense teams, journalists, and activists who are working in the aftermath of this and similar events. The RNC '08 Report: Looking Back at the First Four Months Nigel Parry, RNC 08 Report, February 7th, 2009 Looking at the Google Analytics web statistic account attached to the site, statistics since its early October launch show a relatively steady growth rate, consistent with an archive-type site on a single issue. Since the site’s launch almost exactly four months ago, there have been 27,000 page views on the site, an average of 225 a day, and 5,000 total visits from just over 3,000 people, meaning that approximately 60% of those using the site are return visitors. When I look a more recent statistics, there are obviously more people who know about the site these days than when it was launched 4 months ago. In just the last month, January 1st–February 1st, the site saw 2,000 visits and 10,000 page views, with visitors spending an average of 6 minutes on the site. [Read more]
