Ramsey Co. Sheriff swears in new deputies

Seven new sheriff's deputies and four new correctional officers will officially join the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office Tuesday night.

Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher will officially swear in the new members of his team during a ceremony in St. Paul.

The deputies who will be sworn in are Rich Alteri, Jason Anderson, Gao Chang, Christopher Duggar*, Ashlee Empanger, Denise Knafla and Rachel Nieting*.

The new correctional officers are Jason Flahave, Michael McCorkel, Joseph McKinney and Mark Mikla.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony at 7 p.m. in Landmark Center, which is located at 5th Street and Market Street in downtown St. Paul.
